About Rhonda Wegner-Taylor

Rhonda Wegner Taylor is best known for her colorful whimsical images and her unique application of circles which she has coined “circleism”, her version of pointillism. Influenced by Alaska’s awe-inspiring splendor, Rhonda’s acrylic paintings feature an array of wildlife, landscapes, and flowers. Originally from Montana, Rhonda ventured to Alaska in 1985 after completing her degree in Art, Health, and Physical Education at Montana State University, Billings. Soon after settling in Valdez, Rhonda began her career as a high school art/health teacher and varsity volleyball coach. Since her retirement in 2015, Rhonda has fueled her passion for art, wellness and the great outdoors as she continues to live, work and play in the majestic town of Valdez, Alaska.

“When people see my art I simply want them to feel joy and happiness. If and when it starts to feel forced and no longer fun, I’ll retire my paint brushes and look for something new to stimulate my creative senses.”
